Large Bed Enclosure

Laser Source

Work Area
In the spacious large bed LE48 laser marking machine, the laser head can move around to be positioned at many different locations. The work area is 45" x 25" x 12.5" (height depends on the laser source). The head can mark a pallet load of parts in one seamless marking pass or be flexible to mark a wide range of parts. Manually positioning laser head is a standard feature. Powered or automated axis can be included upon request.
Fixture Plate
The CMT Eclipse LE48 fixture plate is a standard aluminum T-slot table. The table uses standard 8020 T-nuts to mount fixtures. Standard fixture plate can be replaced with a breadboard or other custom design upon request.
Floor-style Base
The LE48 large bed laser marking machine comes complete with a floor base for stability. The base has room to mount the laser controller and HMI PC. The base comes standard with leveling feet. Castor upgrades are available for station mobility.

CMT offers an industrial fume extractor for laser marking. Laser marking is a burning process, and the smoke contains particulate matter that is not healthy for the operator to breathe. The smoke and particulate also impedes the laser beam and reduces the clarity and depth of the mark. A powerful fume extractor system is recommended to assure safety of the operator and the clarity of the mark.
The CMT Fume Extractor is contained in a brushed stainless steel floor-style cabinet with casters. The 3-stage filter system is pre-piped and wired to the laser enclosure system. The complete package includes hoses and suction nozzle mounting. CMT recommends this essential component to provide longevity to the laser unit investment.
The large bed of the CMT Eclipse LE48 makes the use of additional axis for easy part marking very efficient. Options include:

Automated start features are simply a must for production manufacturing. The standard method to start the marking process for either the I-Mark or CMT Eclipse marking software is to use a Windows mouse and select the marking icon, followed by an additional mouse click to start the process. This process is only seconds, but for repetitive production marking it adds up to minutes.
CMT can provide a custom-designed master fixture plate with adjustable design and positive part stop for exact positioning every time. The application specific solution will be precision designed and built. CMT custom fixtures feature easy clamping or backup system to provide repeatable positioning.
